About JB Fit

Hi, I'm Jason Bayles, the founder of JB Fit.

I am an ex-Warrant Officer in the Royal Army Physical Training Corps; I served 26 years in the army, 24 of them as a Physical Training Instructor (PTI). As a PTI I was responsible for the fitness of the officers and soldiers of the units I served with, preparing them for operations in conflict, peace-time, and humanitarian disasters, but also designing programmes for soldiers who were recovering from injuries to get back to full fitness. I also served at the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, training over 100 officer cadets to become officers in the British Army.

Before I left the army, I qualified as a Personal Trainer with Premier Fitness, who provide industry-leading Gym Instructor and Personal Trainer courses. I was keen to attend their course to further my knowledge, to allow me to gain credibility with a recognised qualification within the civilian market, and improve my experience working with people with various needs and different personal goals.

Why it's 'more than a class'

I am passionate about helping people to achieve their health and fitness goals because I have found that improving a person’s physical health will improve their life as a whole; as it unquestionably improves their self-esteem and mental well-being. It is a fantastic feeling knowing that, as a trainer, you have positively affected someone’s life for the better. This is what motivated me to start my own company, and what motivates me every session.

I can assure you that my classes will be varied, fun, and safe. For me, it’s not about how quick you perform the exercise or about coming first in a circuit, it’s about performing the exercise correctly, this is what will make you fitter and stronger and stay injury-free. JB Fit really is “more than a class.”

JB FIT

When I left the army in 2008 I started work for outdoor fitness companies, like British Military Fitness, helping ordinary people reach their fitness goals. I felt after gaining much experience with these companies, I wanted to create my own concept of outdoor fitness classes, so in 2014 I branched out on my own and created JB Fit. Here I can combine my military experience and personal training skills with a small-group-approach, so I can concentrate on every individual, making sure they are performing exercises correctly to prevent injury, and meeting people’s personal goals whilst training within a group.
